Nate was awesome ! What a great team meeting. The power of his message, combined with the spectacular kids really knocked it out of the park. . Folks were talking about his session all afternoon.
— David W, Deputy Director at The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Nate’s speech was incredibly inspirational, challenging, and exactly what was needed to set the tone for the next 6 weeks. My students have expressed their excitement for the start of the program tomorrow based on Nate’s words and challenge to them. It was an honor for the MiraCosta community to hear Nate’s story and feel his passion for the work he does.
— Don Love, Umoja Counselor
Nate Howard was selected by our students to present at San Diego State University’s African American Mentoring Program (AAMP) and he delivered! Nate Howard is a truly amazing human being. He captured our hearts and minds with his energetic and uplifting message and inspired all of us to share our stories. His ability to connect with people from all different backgrounds and ages makes him an undeniable leader. This “Young Mandela” has a drive to change the world! His story of hope, resilience, and commitment to and for something better, is igniting and contagious!
— Tonika Green, Director of the School Psychology Program at San Diego State University
The San Diego Foundation Center for Civic Engagement is thrilled to work with the talented Nate Howard on our ‘25 and Under! The Future of Philanthropy in San Diego’ public event series. His own desire to create effective and lasting systems change aligns so well with our priorities, and his work at Monarch School among others makes real impact through curricula development. Youth can and will affect their learning experience and reimagine their future. Nate insists they tell their story before someone else does whether through verse, performance, affirmation, and/or debate, he evokes nothing less than compassion, kindness, and the philanthropist within us all.
— Bruna Mori, Manager, San Diego Center for Civic Engagement
Nate Howard spoke at the Boy & Girls Clubs of Peninsula’s annual graduation celebration at Facebook on June 11,2015. He moved the crowd with his poetic words, inspiring the students with his message: “tell your story before they do.” Nate was professional and was able to adapt to our program with last minute changes. I highly recommend Nate for future events and have done so already.
— Sean Mendy, Senior Director of Development at Boys & Girls Club of Peninsula
Nate Howard served as the closing keynote speaker at our inaugural Creative Careers Expo. His compelling story captured the audience’s attention and his passion lingered after each word he delivered. He proved to be a magnetic, quick-witted and socially-conscious speaker. A true professional, Mr. Howard stayed after his address to mingle with the audience and continued to encourage and motivate the young minds in attendance. The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation is happy to recommend Mr. Howard as an engaging speaker with an important story to share.
— Joseph French, Program Coordinator, The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation
Nate Howard was the best motivational speaker and spoken word poet I have heard to date. He captivated students with his unique speaking style and it was an honor to have him as the main speaker at the University of Portland annual poetry slam. In addition to his great on stage performance he was professional and easy to work with as we arranged the event. I would and already have recommend Nate Howard for future events.
— Kahlil Dumas, President of the Black Student Union at the University of Portland
Nate Howard spoke at our 1st Annual Seeds to Success conference to a group of young scholars with the heart of a lion. His swagger, demeanor, and his ability to paint a picture with words inspired, motivated, and empowered the entire room. Nate was more than our keynote speaker. He was a friend, a colleague, and a role model. I would recommend Nate Howard to any organization in search of a unique and powerful motivational speaker.
